The Project objective

● The main objective of the project is the development of innovative textile products (prototypes) designed for providing protection and for assuring the wearer’s safety and well-being. The technical-scientific activity of the project focuses on putting into practice new/innovative techniques and solutions of design and implementation, in conjunction with a wide range of experimental and result validation activities.

The specific objectives

● Manufacturing textile structures/fabrics that contain multifunctional textile spun and filament yarns combined with elastomeric yarns and that are obtained by applying innovative knitting techniques;

●Developing new generations of technical textile products/articles that are functional, flexible, comfortable, reproducible and competitive on the market concerning the quality-price ratio, designed for preserving wearers’ health and for lowering the risk of accidents at the workplace or during one’s leisure and sport time; these fabrics can be used for manufacturing clothing, medical textile devices, accessories, and other end products;

● Creating new manufacturing technologies and new product design concepts that comply with specific requirements;

● Assessing the functional and comfort performances of the new products;

● Developing R&D activities and future collaborations between consortium members.

Project stages

Stage 1 - Year 2017: Substantiating and putting into practice solutions for manufacturing functional textile products designed for people who are prone to accidents and for preventing some occupational diseases;

Stage 2 - Year 2018: Developing textile products for people who are prone to accidents and for preventing some professional illnesses;

Stage 3 - Year 2019: Optimising and validating prototype models;

Stage (4 - 6) - Year (2020-2022): Reporting the economic consequences of implementing the project results and of promoting the new products on the market.

Estimated results

● Evaluation and research reports (diagnosis, assessments). ;

● Technical and manufacturing documentation, experimental models and prototypes;

● Testing reports, assessments;

● Experimentation reports;

● Project completion and implementation report – economic consequences;
